Great lightweight tarp, that stands up to the elements. Bought from ebay in the winter. Has served as a lean to, and a cloak, several times over and still looks brand new.
The included pegs are very nice, quite a step above most cheap-o tent pegs.

I’d say that 90% of the items I’ve bought for hiking and camping have been bought online and over time, I’ve developed a rule that says : Never do business with anyone who has poor customer service because if they don’t respond BEFORE they get your money, they sure as h*** won’t respond afterwards.
Well, River Country passes my test with no problem. They are extremely responsive, courteous and provide intelligent answers. I would gladly do business with them again.
I purchased this tarp on Thursday morning and it was delivered Saturday morning. While others whine about “delays due to the pandemic” these folks get it done.
The tarp is very well constructed. The stitching was perfect. It comes with a small tie-out in each corner which look plenty strong for stretching it out on the ground. I received four aluminum stakes. Each measures 7″. I also got very lightweight cordage (25′) and four tension adjusters which are small, plastic items just as shown. At 7 x 4.5 feet, the tarp is plenty big for me to stretch out on and even use as a “taco.” I gave it my “shower test” which involves getting into the shower fully clothed with the tarp over my head. I walked out perfectly dry so this should be more than enough ground cover for what I do . . . which is give me something quick to lay out to keep my butt warm and dry when I take a break..
Having said all that, let me add that I am a day hiker and so I don’t expect to ever use this as my primary camping tarp for overhead shelter. However . . . I can certainly see using it as emergency overhead shelter in case I ever get lost, injured or too ill to make it out on my own.
Now, if you did decide to use this as an overhead tarp, would the tie-outs survive a strong wind? Would the material stand up to wear and tear? I think they would with no problem. Just standing here in my living room, I’d say that if you use a reasonable amount of care, this thing could be used as primary overhead shelter.

I had already purchased two tents and couldn’t get over the quality for the price so I ordered two of these small tarps as well. Pack small and lite, easy to use as a ground sheet and if it gets messed up you CAN afford another at these prices! These are a great B.O.B. type tarp, good for UL hiking / camping and preppers.
