Description
Trekking Pole Tent 2-Person
Introducing the Trekker Palace – the ultimate 2-Person 2-Layer Sil-nylon Ultralight Trekking Pole tent for your next outdoor adventure. This high-end tent is designed to impress even the most seasoned outdoors enthusiasts with its outstanding features and benefits.
One of the key features of the Trekker Palace is its full 2-Layer design, which allows you to set it up in various configurations, depending on your needs. Unlike traditional tents that come with complicated pole systems that are hard to set up and easy to break, the Trekker Palace is designed to be ultra-light, compact, and easy to set up in just 1-2 minutes. You’ll love how simple it is to use trekking poles for support, and the ability to set up each layer separately or together. The rainfly has zippers on both ends for convenience in entering and exiting. While it isn’t a true vestibule, it does have about 6 inches of overage that is perfect to keep some of your gear out of your sleeping area.
What sets the Trekker Palace apart from other tents is its ability to be set up in three different configurations. You can choose to set up the outer shell only, the inner mesh tent only, or both together for a two-layer tent that provides you with unparalleled protection and comfort.
With its durable 2-layer design, the Trekker Palace offers several benefits that traditional tents simply can’t match. The outer layer provides you with an additional barrier against the elements, helping to keep you dry and warm in inclement weather. Meanwhile, the inner mesh tent provides excellent ventilation, keeping you cool and comfortable even in hot and humid conditions. The tent is made of 20D silnylon with a PU coating on the inside and silicon on the outside.
And, let’s not forget about the weight savings. At just a fraction of the weight of traditional tents, the Trekker Palace is ultra-light and easy to carry in your pack, making it the perfect choice for backpackers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts who demand the best.
So, whether you’re planning a weekend camping trip or a long-distance trek through the wilderness, the Trekker Palace is the ultimate tent for your needs. Don’t settle for anything less – choose the Trekker Palace and experience the best that outdoor camping has to offer!

I was finally able to get out for an overnight hiking trip in Shenandoah National Park this past weekend. First chance I had to test out my new Trekker Palace and upon setup I noticed there are some kind of white stains all over one side of the outer shell. Not sure what caused this or why the tent was packaged for sale like this. But I’m awaiting a response from RCP on the matter. Otherwise very happy with the quality and functionality of this tent. Just wish the pictures of my trip included a brand new tent instead of what appears to be a stained up, uncared for tent. Would be a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for this issue.

I highly recommend the trekker palace. This was my first trekking pole tent and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to my old tent for true backpacking trips. The weight savings and cost point of this tent is impossible to beat and is also super easy to set up. I stored the tent with the rain fly/tarp attached and I was totally set up and ready to relax in 10 minutes tops once I got the hang of it. The tent fits in the bag super easily and frees up a good amount of space in your pack compared to traditional tents. I would recommend the 2 person tent for solo trips just to have a little extra space, but is definitely doable for 2 people if you don’t mind a tighter squeeze and have all your gear stored outside of the tent. If you set up the ties on the sides of the tent properly it does give you some extra space and height on the edges too. Fantastic tent and company!!

Haven’t used this on the trail yet but we set it up in the yard to test it. This is our first trekking pole tent and I was actually surprised by how easy it was to set up. The directions and the video on the website were very helpful. This tent is very roomy and we sure are excited to take it out on the trail soon and to save some weight in our packs by using this tent versus our other freestanding tent!

First thing I noticed while unboxing, was this tent is not bright yellow as in the ads, definitely more of a green, and I’m all about it. It comes with the usual great pegs, I’ll be field testing it this weekend. I bought this as a more roomy option to my trekker 1a, and I’ll feel more secure in the rain. For the extra pound, I feel it will be well worth it. I’ll update as necessary, but my other river country tent has been great, so I’m sure this one will be as well.

I brought this tent with me on the Appalachian Trail. It’s lightweight, easy to setup and I was able to fit all my gear and two people.
The tent is well ventilated and kept us comfortable. I like how I can enter from either side and also keep the rain fly open on both sides while sleeping.
I wish the floor was a touch thicker, but then it would be bigger and heavier.
I now have 2 RCP tents and I’m considering the backpack.

Love this tent! I got this as an upgrade from my Trekker 2.2 tent and it’s fantastic. Easy set up, ventilation is much improved with doors on both ends, easy to set up. Just tested it in my yard and I can’t wait to use it for real this weekend.

I recently finished 700+ miles on the AT (Springer to McAfee Knob) and used this tent. I’ve camped in it 40-50 times. It has stood up well to several nights of heavy wind (40 mph gusts two nights) & storms. I had no water leaks, no floor punctures (and I didn’t use a ground cloth), and hardly any condensation in this double-layer tent. It does dry out quickly.
It’s easy to set up and adjust once you get the hang of it. I was able to speak with Ned from River Country on a video call when I first got the tent to walk me through the set-up. I had never used a trekking pole tent before. It is a little harder getting your backpack in and out of the tent due to the trekking poles, but I like the double use of the poles. I wore off the tips of my trekking poles and couldn’t use the grommet hole, but was still able to use the tent via the D-rings or carabiners that attach to the main guy lines.
Overall, I’m very happy with this tent. I had initially intended to hike the entire AT, and I’m confident this tent would have held up well the whole way. It served me very well in a variety of weather conditions. This tent is a great bang for your buck, and the customer service was great after initial purchase.

I just received my Trekker Palace, and it is outstanding. This is my 3rd River Country Products (Trekker 2.2 and the Trekker 3). I used it this weekend for an overnight and absolutely love it. Being a 2 layer tent makes it much easier to avoid condensation inside the tent because you have some space between the mesh and the outer rain fly. 2nd, having 2 doors is clutch. Makes it much easier to get in and out of, put stuff in it without tracking in dirt, and when you have 2 people in the tent, it makes it much easier to get in and out. Some other features that really help are the shock cord tie outs for the bathtub floor, the compression sack which significantly reduces the volume in your pack compared to the Trekker 2.2 (roughly half for the same size tent), and door shape make it very easy to get in and out of. This is a true 2 person, double walled tent, light enough for 1 person at just over 3 lbs with 8 stakes, and the price point is outstanding. I spend a LOT of time looking for the best bang-for-buck in terms of quality, price, and weight, and this tent at $135 is #1 in my opinion.
Aside from the outstanding product, the customer service from River Country is fantastic. I have reached out via email a couple of times and always gotten an incredibly fast, well crafted response. Also, the order processing and shipping was incredibly fast; I placed my order Tuesday morning on the east coast and the tent arrived from WA on Thursday. I really cannot say enough about this tent and this company.

I just received the trekker palace 2person 2layer trekking pole tent. It arrived very quickly. I set it up which went very smoothly. I have only used it once but so far very happy with it, seems to be everything that it says in the advertisement. Thank you Terry

Absolutely amazing tent! My wife and I used it on an overnight hike this weekend along with our 60 lb dog. We all fit comfortably! The tent was very easy to set up and comes with everything you need including some very nice lightweight aluminum tent stakes. Mine was most definitely more green than the yellow color in the pictures I’m not complaining one bit I actually like the color a lot! Also showed up at my house in just 2 days from the time I ordered. I can’t speak highly enough about the trekker palace. You will not find a better quality tent in this price range!
