River Country Products Sleeping Bag is only 2 lbs 14 oz, has a small compressed size, and is rated for temperatures down to 45°f. As part of our lightweight, multi-functional, sleep system the bag is made to incorporate a sleeping pad. The back of our bag features a pocket and strap system to lock your pad in place helping ensure comfort all night long.
This sleeping bag is designed to work together with our sleeping pad and pillow for a perfect, lightweight, multi-functional sleep system. Sleeping pillow and sleeping pad can be purchased individually, or buy all three together for extra savings in our sleeping bag combo pack. For additional 15 degrees of protection, our fleece blanket makes this a four season system.
In order to reduce weight while still maintaining a length long enough to accommodate tall hikers we streamlined the sleeping bag, reducing overall bulk without reducing its length.

This sleeping bag is a STEAL when purchased as an add-on to the sleeping pad. It includes a nice compression bag, is sturdy and well-sewn, and I love the soft-touch lining. It’s amply sized; too long for my 5’6” (not ideal since your body must heat the empty area), but will serve my husband well.
Features include pad pockets/strap, two-way zipper so you can vent your feet, draft collar, and drawstring hood area. It’s not a WARM bag— I wouldn’t recommend it below 50 degrees, but is reasonably lightweight for backpacking and you can always add a liner/blanket/warm clothing to bring it to lower temps.

I started out with a 0 degree bag, but after upgrading to a smaller pack, I needed a bag that would compress down. After doing a ton of research, I settled on the River Country 40 degree bag, and I am completely happy with it.
It is very light, allowing me to shave 2.5 lbs off the old one, and compresses down to less then 5 liters, and easily fit into my backpack.
The one option I was curious about was the sleeping pad adapter, and if it would work with my Klymit Static V. I was amazed at how well it worked. I usually toss and turn and fall off the pad several times a night. With this bag, I never fell off once. This alone makes this a great bag.
As for size, I am 5’11 and weigh about 240 lbs, and never felt constricted. Additionally, I travel with my dog, who sleeps inside the bag with me, and there was still room.
Overall, this is a great bag and fit all of my needs. I highly recommend it if you want a warm and roomy bag for less than most lightweight and compressible bags out there.

Cant beat the price and weight! The perfect 3 season bag and doesn’t weigh down my pack. Love that it includes the compression sack. Amazing product
Bought off of Amazon love this light bag for summer use. I really love the pockets on the bottom to hold the sleeping mat to the bag a ++++. Also bought a tent and love it as well.
Really lightweight very fitting and comfortable for a tall guy being 6’ 3”. This is the second purchase I’ve made from them. Highly recommend there products

My wife and I have purchased this in combination with the Trekker pad lite. We are impressed with the quality of this very inexpensive sleeping bag. You could not find anything comparable in quality at this price point. Tried it for a short bit at 47 degrees f.
I was warm and comfy. The only thing I would personally change is the strap on the underside. I would like it more if it was adjustable so that it could be tightened on to the sleeping pad.

I have used this sleeping bag on many occasions and it has proven itself reliable and comfortable. I recently took it on a hike in the mountains (Eagle Rock Loop) where the weather became unexpectedly cold. This sleeping bag, though not rated for weather that cold, still did an excellent job keeping me warm. Thanks, River Country! Your products are the best!
Great warm weather sleeping bag. We live and camp in Florida, high 50’s at best. Very nice sleeping bag for the money. Yes, there are more expensive sleeping bags but for occasional and southern backpackers, it will fit most needs. Compresses down pretty small in the stuff sack, all in all, we are pretty happy with our purchases from river country.
